What has been happening around The Celtic Sheltie household?

Well, they finally delivered mom’s shed. Mom and Dad put the tools they had in the backroom out there first thing. Mom will be doing a lot of her work for the kitchen out there.
Dad put insulation in the shed the last few days so that they can keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Next, to save some money, Dad will put some plywood in for the finished walls. Then Mom can paint first, though she wants to build in stairs to reach the lofts. She said there is no way she’s going to try to climb a ladder up there. That’s something she’s always feared. She can do it, but she’d rather not. Stairs will be easier on Mom and Dad, too.
Let’s see. What else has happened around here? Oh, there were baby doves, again. Something killed the first batch. Mom and Dad watched one of their parents feed them, then a couple of hours later, there weren’t any baby doves at all. We have birds called Thrashers out here, and they are, as Mom says, a**holes. One year, she started so many little seedlings but couldn’t leave them in the house because of the cats. So, she had them on the garden table, and these birds pulled the seedlings out of their pots but never ate them. Instead, they left them to die on the table. Anyway, we think one of those birds may have killed the first babies. The second nest was in the big tree out front. There were two babies, and today they were big enough to take flight. Both are gone now. Mom got a few pictures of them older. She couldn’t get pics of them when they hatched because she couldn’t get to the nest. It was too high. As they grew, they were more visible. Then, they were out of the nest.
Mom finished a couple of jewelry pieces for a friend. She also made a leather bracelet so she could see how to do a sliding closure. She also made a wire-wrapped dragonfly. So, she’s been working on a few things here and there.
It is cooling down here in Arizona. At least in our neck of the woods. We are all ready for some cool weather. Mom wants it to rain more, but we don’t know if that will happen. It’s been a long time since we had a wet winter.
Well, that’s it for now. I hope you are doing well no matter where you are and what you are doing.
